The present invention relates to a graphene, and particularly, a method for preparing graphene, by which high quality graphene can be formed, and graphene prepared thereby. The graphene preparing method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a substrate for compensating heat expansion; forming a metal layer on the substrate for compensating heat expansion; and forming graphene on the metal layer.
