FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for treatment of water, industrial and household sewage waters or sewage sludge, containing petroleum or petroleum products. Coagulant contains alkylated organic polymer, as such used is carboxymethylcellulose with substitution degree from 5% to 25% and polymerization degree from 90 to 400 units. Coagulant is used in form of water-alkali solution with concentration of carboxymethylcellulose 3-8 wt % and with pH being not lower than 9.
