A heat pump system according to the present invention comprises a liquid receiver valve for controlling the amount of refrigerants stored in a liquid receiver. Thereby, the heat pump system improves performance by controlling the amount of refrigerants circulating in the system according to the driving speed of a compressor. In addition, the heat pump system can be actively controlled since multiple refrigerant outlets of the liquid receiver are selectively opened using the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the compressor.
