<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Icaritin for the preparation of composition for treating cancer.SOLUTION: In a method for treating cancer, Icaritin is orally administered to a patient at least one cycle, each cycle comprising a continuous 28-day dosing schedule, in which the Icaritin is administered at least once daily, at a dosage of 400-1,800 mg daily. In a method for the preparation of pure Icaritin, the Icaritin, as a starting material, is hydrolyzed withβ-D-Glucosidase, centrifuged, and the pellet obtained from centrifuging the hydrolysis product is dissolved with acetone, followed by a second centrifugation and filtration to collect the supernatant. The pure Icaritin is obtained after recrystallizing the supernatant.</p> |
