PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture article and a method of using the same, and more particularly to a medium article which is free of an animal-derived component, and is suitable for supporting the culture of cardiomyocytes derived from stem cells.SOLUTION: A synthetic surface suitable for culturing cardiomyocytes derived from stem cells (ES cells) is a medium comprises a homopolymer or a copolymer formed from a monomer composed of di(meth)acrylate of alkynediol such as ethylene glycols, glycerol and 1,4-butanediol. The (meth)acrylate surface, in many cases, is suitable for culturing cardiomyocytes derived from stem cells in a synthetic medium. |
