1. A patient health system comprising:
a patient data collection system; and a provider analysis system, wherein the patient health system is configured for transmission of patient health data from the patient data collection system to the provider analysis system,
a. the patient data collection system, located proximate a patient, configured to collect patient physiological data, and operatively coupled to a communications network;b. the provider analysis system coupled to the communications network and located remote from the patient data collection system;wherein the patient data collection system, located proximate a patient, is comprised an environmental data collection device couple to a patient computing station, the patient computing station including a configuration module for:
identifying at least one communication links between the patient computing station and the provider analysis system; assessing the bandwidth of each communication link identified; and selecting an optimal communications link based on the type of data to be transmitted to the provider analysis system, wherein the communications link selected has a bandwidth sufficient to handle transmission of data associated with a medical procedure administered, wherein the computing station is configured to determine the reliability of the communications network and transmit patient physiological data upon a determination that the communications network is reliable. |
