The present invention relates to an operation control method of a refrigerator, which is capable of determining whether to additionally and forcibly start a compressor or not by identifying the states of load objects according to time counted from the stop of the compressor to the start of the compressor. According to the present invention, an operation control method of a refrigerator is capable of reducing time to return to a normal operation state by comprising: a step of allowing a control part to receive a refrigerator inside temperature from a refrigerator inside temperature sensor, and to forcibly start a compressor when the input refrigerator inside temperature is higher than or equal to a predetermined temperature; a step of allowing the control part to stop the compressor when the refrigerator inside temperature reaches to a predetermined compressor forcible start releasing temperature; a step of allowing the control part to receive time measured by a timer when the compressor is stopped; and a step of determining whether to forcibly start the compressor according to the measured time, wherein the time measured by the timer is measured until the refrigerator inside temperature is higher than or equal to the predetermined temperature.
