PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which allows dimming and toning. SOLUTION: A lighting system 11 includes a lighting device 12 and a control device 13. The lighting device 12 includes a light source unit 17 which can be dimmed and toned, and a control unit 24 which receives a PWM signal, performs dimming control of the light source unit 17 in accordance with a duty ratio of the PWM signal, and performs tone control of the light source unit 17 in accordance with a frequency of the PWM signal. The control device 13 sets the duty ratio of the PWM signal in accordance with dimming control to be performed, sets the frequency of the PWM signal in accordance with tone control to be performed, and transmits the PWM signal to the lighting device 12.
