Method for purifying flue gases using sodium bicarbonate or sesquicarbonate

The method involves introducing fumes (1) to be purified in a filter (101) e.g. bag filter, where the fumes are mixed with sodium bicarbonate or sodium sesquicarbonate to neutralize acid pollutants. A fraction of solid residues (4) from the filter and water vapor (7) are admitted into a reactivation reactor (201) i.e. worm, where the solid residues are in contact with the vapor in the reactor for a minute. Solids (8) issued from the reactor are recycled toward the filter by mixing the solids with the fumes in upstream of filter.
