PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting connection between a client side and a device server side for a client side apparatus that does not comprise a display or keyboard in a device server system.SOLUTION: A device server connection setting method in a device server system includes the following four features: 1) a client comprising a USB interface and being connected with a network via a virtual connection device connected via the USB interface; 2) the virtual connection device shifting to a state in which the virtual connection device can receive information on a peripheral apparatus with recognized connection from a device server by first switch operation; 3) the device server shifting to a peripheral apparatus connection waiting state only for a predetermined time by second switch operation, and broadcasting information on a connected peripheral apparatus if connection is recognized; and 4) the virtual connection device determining that the received information on the peripheral apparatus makes the client and the peripheral apparatus communicate via the network. |
