<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire evaluation method capable of accurately acquiring and evaluating information on tire characteristics.SOLUTION: Provided is a method of evaluating characteristics of a tire including cords and rubber covering the cords using a computer. The evaluation method includes the procedures of: dividing a first part of the rubber including a boundary surface facing a boundary between the cords and the rubber into elements, and setting a first evaluation region in at least a part of the element-divided first part; dividing a second part of the rubber different from the first part into elements, and setting a second evaluation region in at least a part of the element-divided second part; creating a finite element model of the tire that includes the element-divided first and second part and that can be analyzed by the computer; and simulating the characteristics of the tire using the finite element model.</p> |
