PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a specific channel to test the specified channel in a case where there are communication paths of a plurality of channels for linking a transmission source and a reception destination to use the plurality of channels to perform interleaving so as to serially transmit packets.SOLUTION: The transmission device comprises: a packet generation unit which generates data packets for transmitting data; and an interleave control unit which serially allocates the generated plurality of data packets to a plurality of transmission ports to transmit the packets. The packet generation unit also generates an inspection packet and dummy packets and causes the interleave control unit to allocate the inspection packet to one transmission port to be inspected and to allocate the dummy packets to transmission ports other than the one transmission port to be inspected.
