PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device capable of ensuring opening/closing torques of two housings connected to each other by the hinge device so as to be able to be opened/closed even if a diameter of a frictional surface of the hinge device is set small.SOLUTION: A hinge device 9 opening/closing a display 2 relative to a main body 1 includes: a shaft 4 attached to the main body 1; a lever 11 rotating around the shaft 4 and having a free end attached to the display 2; and a first friction torque generation unit 10 and a second friction torque generation unit 20. During rotation of the lever 11, the first friction torque generation unit 10 applies a friction torque to the lever 11 in an axial direction of the shaft 4 and the second friction torque generation unit 20 applies a friction torque in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the shaft 4 to the lever 11. Therefore, even the shaft 4 is formed thin, it is possible to apply a sufficient friction torque to the lever 11. The friction torque by the second friction torque generation unit 20 can be generated by pressing a plate spring 23 by a pin 21 attached to the lever 11 to press a friction pad 24 against the shaft 4. |
