METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECOVERING GAS FROM METHANE HYDRATE LAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for extracting energy from methane hydrate and a system for the same.SOLUTION: A method for recovering gas from a methane hydrate layer comprises the processes to: decompose methane gas existing in a methane hydrate layer into hydrogen gas and carbon dioxide gas through electrolysis; inject the decomposed carbon dioxide gas into a seabed layer as carbon dioxide hydrate; and recover the decomposed hydrogen gas. A system for recovering gas from the methane hydrate layer is related to the method for the same.
