PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control method of a switched reluctance motor capable of improving drive efficiency by suppressing current pulsation.SOLUTION: An SRM control device 22 switch-controls an inverter circuit 10 so as to lower an effective voltage of an output voltage when the output voltage of the inverter circuit 10 exceeds a command voltage in a two-phase conduction period where a first period in which an amount of conduction to an excitation phase of an SRM15 increases and a second period in which an amount of conduction to a demagnetization phase decreases overlap.
