PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet switch actualizing minimum bandwidth guarantee of each contract user and fairness between each contract user, with the suppression of a transmission/reception amount between input/output interfaces and a calculation processing load.SOLUTION: An input interface unit includes a plurality of queue groups, corresponding to contract users, including a plurality of packet queues. An input bandwidth is measured for each queue group, and an excess of a threshold of stored amount is confirmed. When an output buffer to an output interface unit becomes congested, a transmission restriction bandwidth is obtained on an input interface unit basis, based on the measured input bandwidth and the threshold excess information at each input interface, transmitting packets to the output buffer, and the minimum guarantee bandwidth for each queue group. Based on the obtained transmission restriction bandwidth, readout from each packet queue is controlled. |
