<p>According to an embodiment, a dynamic cache allocation method in a solid state drive environment includes the steps of: partitioning a cache memory into a reserved partition, which begins at a beginning of the cache memory, and a caching partition which begins after an end of the reserved partition; starting a data cache at a beginning of the caching partition; when the caching partition is fully utilized, caching data using the reserved partition; and, after receiving an indication of a power state change, writing marking data to the reserve partition.</p> |
