PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass capable of decreasing breakage or cracks in the glass in press-forming and thereby capable of increasing productivity of an optical element while having a desired high refractive index and an Abbe umber, and to provide a preform and an optical element using the optical glass.SOLUTION: The optical glass contains, as a cationic component, P, Al, Mg, and Ba, and as an anionic component, Oand F; and the optical glass has a refractive index (nd) of 1.50 or more and a thermal conductivity of 0.50 W/(m K) or more. The preform and the optical element comprise the optical glass.
