<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for acquiring information in a digital camera, and more particularly, to an apparatus and a method for acquiring additional information of a captured photograph in a digital camera. The method, according to an embodiment of the present invention, is a method for acquiring additional information of a photographed picture in a digital camera and comprises the steps of: capturing an image upon a photographing request and displaying a photograph; setting a character extraction region by a size predetermined to respond to a user input upon detection of the user input in a predetermined location of the displayed photograph and extracting a character from the character extraction region; and inserting the extracted character into user additional information among pieces of additional information of the photograph and storing the user additional information together with the photograph.</p> |
