摘要 A device and method are provided for automatic control of a continuous action. In one implementation, an apparatus for providing feedback to a user is provided. The apparatus may include an image sensor configured to be positioned for movement with a head of a user. The image sensor may also be configured to capture real time images from an environment of the user as the user's head moves. The apparatus may also include at least one processor device configured to process at least one image to identify an existence of an object within a field of view of the image sensor and to initiate a continuous action associated with the object. The processing device may also be configured to suspend the continuous action associated with the object when the object moves outside the field of view of the image sensor.

An apparatus for providing feedback to a user regarding an object of interest, the apparatus comprising: an image sensor configured to be positioned for movement with a head of a user and configured to capture real time images from an environment of the user as the user's head moves; at least one processor device configured to: process at least one image to identify an existence of the object of interest within a field of view of the image sensor;provide a continuous feedback to the user regarding the object of interest when the object of interest is detected within the field of the view of the image sensor;suspend the continuous action feedback to the user regarding the object of interest after the object of interest is detected to be outside the field of view of the image sensor; andautomatically reinstitute the suspended feedback if a time period, between a time the object of interest moves outside the field of view and a time the object of interest reappears in the field of view, is less than a predetermined threshold.
