PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel in which entry of foreign matter from the inside of a reel body to a reverse rotation preventing mechanism is suppressed.SOLUTION: A rotor drive mechanism 6 of a spinning reel has a drive gear 11, a cylindrical pinion gear 12 and a sealing member 16. The drive gear 11 has face gear teeth, and rotates in conjunction with the rotation of a handle 1. A mounting part 33a of a rotor 3 is connected to the front part of the pinion gear 12 so as to be rotatable integrally with the pinion gear 12. The pinion gear 12 penetrates through a through-hole 2f and is disposed in the front-rear direction, and is meshed with the drive gear 11. The sealing member 16 seals a gap between the pinion gear 12 and the through-hole 2f at the rear from a one-way clutch assembly 51. |
