PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an organic EL display device of bottom emission structure including a color filter easily.SOLUTION: An organic EL display device includes a display device body 1 and a color filter 30 separately from each other. The display device body 1 includes a base substrate 2 having a first surface 2a and a second surface 2b facing oppositely from each other, and a plurality of pixels 3 arranged on the first surface 2a of the base substrate 2. Each of the plurality of pixels 3 includes a plurality of sub-pixels 4R, 4G, 4B. When viewing from a direction perpendicular to the first surface 2a and second surface 2b, the outer edge of each of the plurality of sub-pixels includes a plurality of sides. The thickness of the base substrate 2 is within a range of 1/50-1/2 of the length of shortest side out of the all sides included in the plurality of outer edges of the plurality of sub-pixels. The color filter 30 is stuck to the second surface 2b of the base substrate 2.
