摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device which is achieved in low torque at a low cost while securing the sealing performance of a seal by stabilizing pressure in a bearing.SOLUTION: A wheel bearing device comprises: a cylindrical engagement part 9a in which a cap 9 is formed into a cup shape by press processing from a steel plate having corrosion resistance, and which is pressure-inserted into an internal periphery of an end of an outer member 2; a collar 9b which is formed by being superimposed from the engagement part 9a toward the outside of a radial direction, and closely adheres on an end face 2c of an inner side of the outer member 2; and a bottom 9d which extends from the collar 9b via a cylinder part 9c, and covers an end of an inner side of an inner member 1. A penetration hole 12 is formed substantially in the center of the bottom 9d, a filter 13 composed of extensive porous PTFE is joined to an opening part of an external side of the penetration hole 12 with an adhesive, the penetration hole 12 is liquid-tightly blocked, and thereby low torque is achieved at a low cost while securing the sealing performance of a seal 8 by stabilizing pressure in a bearing.
