PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous ceramics sintered body having a high absorption rate and a large absorption amount of a fluid such as water and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a porous ceramics sintered body which comprises a plurality of first pores having an aspect ratio of 5 or more and 200 or less and a plurality second pores having an aspect ratio of 1 or more and 3 or less, where a part of the plurality of first pores are provided so as to connect between the second pores.
