PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving accuracy of row recognition in character segmentation.SOLUTION: When the same third character area is selected redundantly in row extraction starting from a first character area and in row extraction starting from a second character area located in a different row from the first character area, row recognition means compares a case where the third character area is added to the row starting from the first character area with a case where the third character area is added to the row starting from the second character area, to determine a row to which the third character area is to be added. |
