PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method which enables advantageous production of a graphite spheroidizing agent which is reduced in oxide content as low as possible.SOLUTION: A method of producing a graphite spheroidizing agent comprises charging a combination of such raw materials as to yield a target alloy composition of a graphite spheroidizing agent containing at least Mg as a graphite spheroidizing element into a heat-melting furnace 10 to melt individually, blowing an inert gas into the molten metal 18 produced by the melting so as to prepare the molten metal of the spheroidizing agent of the target alloy composition while inhibiting oxidation of graphite spheroidizing elements and solidifying the resultant molten metal to form an ingot, in order to obtain a solid graphite spheroidizing agent of specified sizes. |
