<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the electric potential of an upstream marginal region of a photoreceptor is hardly stabilized, and as a result, there is a possibility that an image defect such as fogging may occur.SOLUTION: Light irradiation means emits light to an image part adhered with toner of a surface of a photoreceptor by a first emission amount in order to make the image part an electric potential adhered with the toner, and emits light to a non-image part not adhered with the toner of the surface of the photoreceptor by a second emission amount smaller than the first emission amount, and forms a latent image on the photoreceptor by moving the light irradiated by the light irradiation means on the surface of the photoreceptor in a scanning direction, and emits light to a marginal portion not formed with the latent image in the portion corresponding to a recording material surface of the surface of the photoreceptor by a second light emission amount. The light irradiation means starts light emission from a light emission start position of the upstream side than a region corresponding to the surface of a recording material with respect to a scanning direction and can change the light emission start position.</p> |
