<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception device capable of properly presenting alert information required by a user to the user by catching emergency alert broadcasting included in a television broadcast without causing unnecessary power consumption.SOLUTION: The present invention suppresses unnecessary power consumption resulting from erroneously receiving an automatic starting plug for emergency alert broadcasting included in a transmission control signal as 1. A synchronization detection section 10 detects the same signal from a transmission control signal retained by a memory section 9. From the transmission control signal retained by the memory section 9, a calculation section 11 enhances the reliability of state detection of the automatic start flag for emergency alert broadcasting by performing majority decision arithmetic between an automatic start flag for emergency alert broadcasting and a part of a parity in the transmission control signal.</p> |
