Provided are a controlled device, a control device, a device control method, and a device control system that appropriately control devices even if no control instructions are given, e.g., as a result of communications difficulties. The controlled device (16) is provided in a consumer household and is capable of executing a pre-set prescribed operation and an instruction operation on the basis of a control instruction from a control device (12) that performs electric power control of the consumer household. The controlled device comprises: a communications unit (121) capable of obtaining control instructions from the control device (12); and a control unit (124) that executes an instructed operation on the basis of a control instruction when a control instruction is obtained, and also measures the time passed from when the control instruction was obtained, each time a control instruction is obtained. The control unit (124) is characterized by executing the prescribed operation once the control instruction is obtained, without obtaining further control instructions, if the time passed has reached a prescribed time. |
