<p>Provided is a medium processing device which outputs the appropriate guidance information to an operator even when a plurality of media are ejected as an anomalous medium that is not normal. This medium processing device is characterized by being provided with a means (33) for determining the normality of an inserted medium on the basis of a plurality of inspection items, a means (32) for ejecting an anomalous medium determined as not being normal, a means (10) for, in cases in which an anomalous medium is detected, recording history information pertaining to the occurrence of anomalous inspection items for which the anomalous medium was determined as not being normal, and a means (10, 23) for identifying the detection frequency or detection order for each anomalous inspection item from the stored history information and outputting guidance information for facilitating improvement of the condition of the detected anomalous medium on the basis of the identification results.</p> |
