An apparatus and method for verifying a website using a mobile terminal are disclosed. The method for verifying a website comprises the steps of: receiving, from an access terminal, an authenticity confirmation request message for confirming the authenticity of a website which the access terminal has connected to; processing the website based on a URL of the website according to the authenticity confirmation request message; generating verification information for determining the authenticity of the website based on the URL of the website, and transmitting the generated verification information to a mobile terminal; and receiving, from the mobile terminal, verification result information for the website generated by the mobile terminal based on images and verification information for the website, and transmitting the verification result information to the access terminal.
