<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture substrate which can be manufactured without conducting position-selective physical treatment or chemical treatment onto a cell culturing surface, and capable of culturing patterned cultured cells based on positional specificity of mechanical property of the cell culturing surface, which is generated by the action of an uneven pattern that a lower layer substrate provided for a lower layer of the cell culturing surface has, and to provide a culture method of the patterned cultured cells using the cell culture substrate.SOLUTION: A cell culture substrate comprises: a lower layer substrate having an uneven pattern on its surface; and an upper layer film having a cell culturing surface, which is laminated on the lower layer substrate. The upper layer film covers recess portions in the uneven pattern, and the lower layer substrate contacts the upper layer film only at protrusions in the uneven pattern.</p> |
