The cell handoff method comprises: an originating base station groups the neighbor cells contained in a received measurement report on the basis of the base station to which said cells belong, and then ranks the groups according to priority; the originating base station selects from the highest priority neighbor cell group at least one neighbor cell as a candidate cell, then sends information about said at least one candidate cell to a target base station in order to implement a subsequent handoff. |
