<p>The present invention relates to a method for controlling a convection fan of a steam oven, capable of reducing maximum power consumption and protecting parts of the steam oven from heat by controlling a motor of the convection fan not to be operated for a certain time in a maximum operation condition where power is maximally consumed. The method for controlling a convection fan of an oven, which controls an operation of a convection fan by measuring a temperature of a cooking chamber and a motor operation time by a controller to detect user selection to control an oven operation when power is supplied to the oven and a cooking start key is inputted, includes the steps of: determining, by the controller, whether an internal temperature of the cooking chamber that is detected by a temperature sensor is a predetermined reference temperature; raising the internal temperature by driving a heater until the internal temperature of the cooking chamber reaches the predetermined reference temperature; operating a motor to operate the convection fan if the internal temperature of the cooking chamber reaches the predetermined reference temperature; detecting a current flowing in the controller to determine whether the current is less than or equal to a predetermined reference value; counting the operation time of the motor when the current of the controller is less than or equal to the reference value; and stopping the motor if the operation time of the motor exceeds the predetermined reference value.</p> |
