A controller device adapted to regulate the opacity a LC film from a transparent state to a translucent state which in use is attached to a transparent element, comprises; a voltage controller for regulating the voltage of an electrical supply to a LC film; a duty cycle controller for varying the duty cycle of an electrical supply provided by the voltage controller to control a LC film from a transparent state to an opaque state and vice versa, this arrangement allows the opacity of the LC film to be varied between 0-100% in small increments of 0.5%. In alternative embodiments the controller device comprises an information storage device or a frequency sensor. |
