PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain water neutralization device which forms a container containing a neutralizing agent comprising solid particles in a shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, but is excellent in contactability between drain water and the neutralizing agent and improved in use efficiency of the neutralizing agent. SOLUTION: The drain water neutralization device 25A has the container 31 whose inside is divided into a neutralization chamber 32 and a drain water discharge chamber 33 by a partition plate 30, and a lid member 36 which covers an opening of the container 31 and is formed with a drain water introduction opening 37 above the neutralization chamber 32. An opening 34 for discharging the drain water is formed in the lower part of the partition plate 30. A drain water discharge opening 38 is formed in the lower side of the drain water discharge chamber 33 of the container 31. A neutralizing agent layer 39 is disposed in a lower layer of the neutralization chamber 32. A filter layer 40 is disposed over the neutralizing agent layer 39.
