<p>A storm water drainage system comprising a detention vault having an associated cover removably mounted on the open-top portion thereof, and a storm well pipe connected to said detention vault characterized in that said detention vault is provided with a filtration chamber; said detention vault comprises an intake barrel connected to a storm water source, a trash collector with screen, primary baffle spaced from said trash collector and secondary baffle provided just after said primary baffle; said filtration chamber is defined by a series of stainless steel bars and top screens defining sub-chambers thereon; wherein different types of filter media provided within said filtration chamber is capable of filtering phosphorus materials, soluble metals, oils, grease, aluminum, colored substances, impurities, odorous substances and some organic materials. Filtering said substances and materials would require high quality of filter media such as crushed rocks, activated carbon, sand and sorbents.</p> |
