The present invention relates to a can having a safety rim and a manufacturing method thereof. The can comprises: a main body having a space in which contents introduced through the upper part are stored; an edge part coupled to the edge of the main body along the top edge of the main body; a cover piece integrally connected to the edge part, having an opening cut line formed on a surface coming in contact with the edge part, and closing the opened upper part of the main body to seal the contents introduced into the main body; and a cover piece separation ring coupled to the top of the cover piece so that a user can hang a finger and pull the cover piece to the outside of the main body to separate the cover piece from the main body. The can additionally comprises a band-type first safety rim and a second safety rim. The band-type first safety rim comprises: an adhesion part adhered to the upper surface of the cover piece based on the opening cut line; and a protrusion part integrated with the adhesion part, and protruding from the cut surface of the cover piece in the separation of the opening cut line. The second safety rim comprises; an adhesion part adhered to the lower surface of the edge part based on the opening cut line; and a protrusion part integrated with the adhesion part, and protruding from the cut surface of the edge part in the separation of the opening cut line. Thus, the present invention can strengthen advantages that an existing can has, such as long expiration date, easy long-term storage, excellent airtightness, and convenient transportation while preventing weakness that the existing can has, such as physical injuries caused by the cover piece separated from the main body of the can and the cut surface of the edge part coupled to the main body. Also, the present invention has a simple manufacturing process and cheap manufacturing costs, and is easy to use. |
