<p>Disclosed is a cooling structure for a combiner such that heat emitted from an electronic component such as an isolation resistor is efficiently radiated externally, thereby preventing deterioration in performance and lifespan of the electronic component and ensuring reliability of an RF power source. An RF Wilkinson combiner, which transmits outputs from two power amplifiers to two impedance transformers, combines the outputs from the two impedance transformers with a coupler, and outputs desired power, is provided with termination resistors which connect the outputs of the two power amplifiers to ensure isolation. These termination resistors are attached to the chassis across an insulation spacer with good thermal conductivity. Heat which is emitted from the termination resistors is thermally conducted to copper blocks via the insulation spacer and the chassis and is radiated via a cooling tube which is sandwiched by the copper blocks to a cooling medium which flows through the cooling tube.</p> |
