PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder maintenance device and a feeder maintenance method capable of preventing accuracy reduction in carrier tape feeding operation caused from a deformation of a tape holder member.SOLUTION: A tape holder member height measurement unit which includes an optical sensor 72 and a height calculation section 20d of a controller 20 measures the height of the upper face of a tape holder member 16 of a tape feeder 2 attached to a slot. The tape holder member height measurement unit compares a measured value obtained by measuring the height of the tape holder member 16 and a reference value to determine whether or not the measured value is abnormal. When it is determined that the measured value is abnormal, a notification is issued through a notification unit AN. |
