PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for intermediately branching an optical fiber cable, capable of suppressing occurence of optical loss variation during the intermediate branch even when a release tape is not mounted on the optical fiber cable and easily branching the optical fiber cable.SOLUTION: A jig 2 for intermediately branching an optical fiber cable 1 in which an optical fiber 10 and a pair of tensile strength bodies 11a and 11b arranged on both sides of an optical fiber 10 are collectively covered by a jacket 13 comprises: bodies 21 and 22 having grooves 23 and 24 provided for inserting the optical fiber cable 1; and blades 25a, 25b, 26a and 26b provided in the bottoms of the grooves 23 and 24 and reaching a pair of cover layers 12a and 12b covering the tensile strength bodies 11a and 11b when the optical fiber cable 1 is inserted into the grooves 23 and 24. The jacket 13 between the tensile strength bodies 11a and 11b is separated by moving the blades 25a, 25b, 26a and 26b in a state of being inserted into the jacket 13. |
