PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently promote atomization of fuel spray even when injecting minute amount of fuel.SOLUTION: An ECU (fuel injection control device) includes selection means S10, S11 and pump control means. The selection means selects which injection to use for fuel injection, full lift injection for starting valve closing operation after a valve element reaches a full lift position or partial injection for starting the valve closing operation without making the valve element reach the full lift position. The pump control means controls an operation of a high pressure pump so that a pressure of fuel supplied to an injector reaches a target pressure. When maximum injection amount during the partial injection at a maximum value Pmax of the target pressure that can be allowed by a fuel injection system is defined as partial maximum injection amount Qplmax, if required injection mount Qreq is the partial maximum injection amount Qplmax or lower, the selection means selects the partial injection. |
