<p>PURPOSE: A horizontal type scroll compressor is provided to rapidly cool a control unit with some of refrigerant flowing via an inlet as the inlet is directly connected to a third space unit in which the control unit is installed. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal type scroll compressor includes a casing (101), a driving motor (102), a crank shaft (125), a compression unit, and a control unit. The compression unit is joined to the crank shaft and includes a rotating scroll (105) with a rotating wrap (152) and fixing scroll (104) with a fixing wrap (132) to form two pairs of compressive chambers by being engaged to the rotating wrap of the rotating scroll. The control unit is electrically connected to the driving motor and controls the driving motor. The internal space of the casing is partitioned into a first space unit (S1) in which the driving motor is installed and an outlet pipe is connected; a second space unit (S2) in which the compression unit is installed and an inlet pipe is connected, and a third space unit (S4) in which the control unit is installed. The second and third space units are communicated.</p> |
