PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that facilitates a visual check on the operational state (short circuit state and short circuit cancellation state) of a short circuit terminal when connector housings are fitted together, and enables reduced manufacturing costs of components by relaxing required dimensional accuracy of the components. SOLUTION: A short circuit terminal 31 mounted in a short circuit terminal accommodation space 15 of one connector housing 11 is mounted in the short circuit terminal accommodation space 15 through a terminal mounting opening portion 15a at a rear end of the one connector housing 11, and as for a short circuit cancellation member 41 fitted in the rear end of the one connector housing 11, a short circuit cancellation piece 43 for canceling a short circuit state of the short circuit terminal 31 on completion of fitting of a pair of connector housings 11, 21 is mounted such that the operational state of short-circuiting contact pieces 33 in the short circuit terminal accommodation space 15 is visible through the terminal mounting opening portion 15a.
