PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel position detection device and a tire pneumatic pressure detection device provided with the wheel position detection device in which the use of a trigger machine is not needed, and with which a wheel position can be accurately specified even when receiving intensity is not measured and the number of receiving signals is not counted. SOLUTION: In wheel position detection, frame transmission is performed for a longer period of time than a one-tire rotation period of time by slowing down a bit rate and a transmission speed, and thereby, transmitters 2 attached to front wheels 5a and 5b are discriminated from transmitters 2 attached to rear wheels 5c and 5d, based on whether a receiver 3 receives signals. Transmitters 2 attached to the right wheels 5a and 5c are discriminated from transmitters 2 attached to the left wheels 5b and 5d, based on a detection result by a rotation direction section 22. Accordingly, transmitters 2 of all four wheels 5a to 5d are specified, and the wheel position detection for specifying to which wheels the respective transmitters 2 are attached, can be performed.
