PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position holding method of a drive shaft of a spiral motor that can be controlled simply, that is low in power consumption, and that can hold a position with certainty.SOLUTION: A spiral motor (1) consists of a drive shaft (4), a spiral rotor (6), and a spiral stator (7) screwed with the spiral rotor (6). The spiral rotor (6) is configured of: a flight (9) provided in a spiral shape along the drive shaft (4); and a plurality of permanent magnets (10) provided on both surfaces of the flight (9). The spiral stator (7) is configured of: an iron core (12) to which a spiral groove (14) is formed; and a plurality of coils (13) provided on both surfaces in the groove (14). Although a predetermined gap is maintained between the permanent magnets and the coils, the permanent magnets (10) are seated on the coils (13) at an optional target stop position (28). |
