PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical article having a special visual effect, allowing forgery decision by both observation methods of reflection and transparency, and having a high forgery prevention effect.SOLUTION: An optical article is formed by laminating at least a first rugged structure formation layer 11 and a second rugged structure formation layer 12 in this order from an observer side. The pitch of a rugged pattern of the first rugged structure formation layer 11 is not less than 300nm and not more than 800nm, the depth thereof is not less than 100nm and not more than 500nm, and a light reflection layer 11c is provided so as to cover the rugged pattern. The second rugged structure formation layer 12 includes a light transmission area 13 where the rugged structure formation layer does not exist partially, and the light transmittance of the rugged structure formation layer is lower than that of the first rugged structure formation layer 11. |
