PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill handling apparatus which completely dries even wet bills using a heating roller and hot air, and enables the bills to be read.SOLUTION: The bill handling apparatus includes an identifying part and a stretching part 108. The identifying part identifies the authenticity of bills. The stretching part 108 dries and stretches the bills, when the identifying part cannot identify the authenticity of the bills. The stretching part 108 includes a conveying device 201, a rotary roller and air blowing devices 203a-203b. The conveying device 201 conveys the bills. The rotary roller presses the bills against the conveying device 201, and rotates in a direction reverse to a conveying direction of the bills. The air blowing devices 203a-203b blow air to the bills. |
