PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting device for transmitting amplitude phase modulation signals via a satellite to which a phased array antenna (PAA) is mounted, and a receiving device thereof.SOLUTION: A transmitting device 10 according to the present invention comprises: a modulation mapping part 12 for mapping digital signals by amplitude phase modulation; a symbol conversion part 13 for converting symbols while a phase is regarded as a symbol of differential phase modulation and an amplitude is regarded as a symbol of amplitude modulation; and an amplitude phase modulation part 14 for generating amplitude phase modulation signals based on a modulation symbol. A receiving device 30 comprises: an amplitude control part 35 for adjusting the amplitude of the received amplitude phase modulation signals; an amplitude phase demodulation part 31 for demodulating the amplitude-adjusted amplitude phase modulation signals; a symbol restoration part 32 for restoring a symbol while the phase is regarded as a symbol of differential phase modulation and the amplitude is regarded as a symbol of amplitude modulation; and a likelihood determination part 33 for determining likelihood of the restored symbol and generating a bit stream of the corresponding digital signals. |
