PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device capable of preventing the occurrence of data delay or data discard in a best-effort service.SOLUTION: An optical transmission device for transmitting data transmitted from a terminal by converting into an optical signal includes a first interface, a second interface, a buffer unit for temporarily storing data, and an optical amplifier. Data transmitted from the second interface includes an error correction code insertion area. The optical transmission device instructs the optical amplifier to increase the output power of the optical signal when a data volume stored in the buffer unit is a predetermined threshold or greater, transmits to an opposite optical transmission device an error correction processing suspension instruction to suspend the execution of the error correction processing in the opposite optical transmission device, and inserts the data stored in the buffer unit into the error correction code insertion area, to transmit to the opposite optical transmission device. |
